Green Day, Offspring Plot Mzansi Visit

Mzansi music fans will be able to welcome two more legendary international acts to their shores when Green Day and Offspring arrive next year.

The two punk rock legends will be headlining Calabash South Africa 2025, alongside local favourites, Polisiekar, as they head to Johannesburg, Gauteng and Cape Town, Western Cape in January 2025.

“Rocking all the way to the other side of the world,” Green Day said as they shared a poster of the event on Instagram. They went on to add: “South Africa, we’ll see you for the first time EVER to headline @calabashsouthafrica in Johannesburg + Cape Town next January! [sic]”

Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday morning, 13 March, while official tickets will be sold on Friday, 15 March.

Fans who attended Calabash this year had an unforgettable experience as they were able to see several other international icons like Maroon 5, Meduza, and Keane live. Also in attendance were several local artists like Lloyiso and Shekhinah.

If this year is anything to go by, more artists should be announced shortly.
